PTV Operations Procedure.

This section presents skeleton guidelines of how the PTV should be operated. Perhaps the most important point to be made is that any work done to close, pressurize, and reopen the PTV must be done only by a properly qualified operator. It is the responsibility of the operator to enforce this important safety measure.

It is not possible to include a detailed written operating procedure because many details will depend on the particular purpose and requirements of a proposed operation. It is the responsibility of the operator to formulate how a proposed operation should be properly and safely done. The basic steps with respect to the PTV itself are straightforward:
